Join us for a 5k walk around Ashley Reservoir, one of Jack's favorite places! The walk is a way to bring awareness to the opioid crisis in our community and to honor those lost to opioid overdoses.
📆 On Saturday May 14th, starting at 9am, Jack's Walk 5k Event will be held rain or shine starting at the Elks Lodge entrance at Ashley Reservoir, Holyoke. This walk aims to bring awareness to our community about substance use prevention. Proceeds will benefit the Jack Jonah Foundation's mission to honor, educate and support through resources to aid those affected by the opioid crisis and to honor those that we have lost to opioid overdoses.
ORDER OF EVENTS:
⭐Pre-Walk Tie-Dye Party: 9a
⭐Walk-In Registration: 10a (pre-registration advised)
⭐Guest speakers: 10:45a (West Springfield Mayor Will Reichelt, Sheriff Nick Cocchi, District Attorney Anthony Gulluni. and Jack Jonah Foundation Founder Kirk Jonah for closing comments and a moment of silence)
⭐Walk begins: 11a
⭐Post-Walk Reception at the Elks: 12p-2p
TICKETS:
🎟️Tickets are $20 for adults, youth 18 and under are free! If you cannot attend the event, there is an opportunity to make a donation at checkout.
🎟️ We have additional funds set aside for those facing financial hardship. If you want to come, we want you there. Please reach out to Kirk@jackjonahfoundation.org to request tickets.
TIE-DYE PARTY:
👚T-shirts and tie-dye supplies will be made available to everyone who orders their tickets before 4/30. Any ticket purchased after 5/1 will not include a t-shirt. We will have plastic bags to keep your creations in and can keep them at the Elks Lodge while you walk. They will be safe at the tent and available to pick up again post-walk.
PARKING:
🚗For guests who arrive prior to 9:30a, there is limited parking at the Elks Lodge at the entrance to the reservoir. Once the lot is full, we will direct you to our overflow lot.
🚗For guests who arrive after 9:30a, there will be parking available at 330 Whitney Avenue, the PeoplesBank executive parking lot with shuttle service available.
